Continental qualifications for Tokyo 2020 Olympics finished in Asia and Africa. They gave not only direct quotas but also berths in the Olympic Qualification Tournaments.
South Korea won all the matches during the tournament in Chuzhou, China. The battle for the second place was very tight as three teams had 6 points, with each one of the having 2 in the head-to-head classification. This lead to China, North Korea and Kazakhstan having to look at their head-to-head goal difference, which gave a place in the Olympic Qualifcation Tournament to the host of the continental competition. Hong Kong and Thailand finished the tournament in Chanzhou in the last two places with the latter losing all the games.
In Dakar African qualifications were held with three teams only as Cameroon withdrew from the competition. Angola won both its games, against Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal, taking the Olympic quota. The direct game for the second place was won by Senegal, which will take part in the Olympic Qualification Tournament.
