Double podium for Dutchmen, bronze for their female teammate at RS:X World Championships

With another wind problems and only medal races held on the last day, Kiran Badloe and Yunxiu Lu became 2019 RS:X World Champions. Also the next Tokyo 2020 spots were fuelled.

The medal race gave silver to Israel as Katy Shuplakov finished third, gaining four points of advantage in the overall classification over Lilian De Geus. The title was won by Yunxiu Lu, who finished the medal race in the fifth position. After ending of the silver fleet competition Thailand and New Zealand joined the 7 other nations that were sure of Olympic quota after being assigned to the gold fleet.

Among men Dutchmen took the gold and silver as Kiran Badloe kept his leading position with 5th place in the medal race, while Dorian van Rijsselberghe overtook Pierre Le Coq by winning the last race and took the silver, leaving bronze to the Frenchman.

Eight nations gained the Tokyo 2020 quotas with the conclusion of gold fleet. These are South Korea, Hong Kong, Belarus, Switzerland, Lithuania, Cyprus, Czech Republix and USA.
