With the fifth day of the women’s European Volleyball Championships concluded, most of the teams have already four games played. Only three of them have four games won.

In Ankara there are two unbeaten teams – Serbia and Turkey. Both of them, however, had a day of rest on Tuesday, leaving them with three victories so far. Finland and Bulgaria won their first game of the tournament today, beating France and Greece respectively, and the game between these two teams will probably decide, who will advance to the round of 16.

In Łódź Belgium defeated Portugal 3-1 while Italy took a 3-0 victory over Slovenia. This way Azzurre have four victories, but they’re not the only unbeaten team in the group B as Poland, which paused on Tuesday, have three games out of three won.

Netherlands continues the winning streak in Budapest with 3-0 against Estonia. Croatia made a very important win 3-1 over Romania as they are fighting for remaining in the tournament after the group stage.

In Bratislava Germany took the fourth victory, beating the other unbeaten team so far, the hosts, 3-1. Earlier Spain defeated 3-2 Switzerland increasing their chance to a surprising advance to the play-off round instead of Belarussians, who didn’t win a match so far.
