New traditions for Olympic Parade of Nations

Parade of Nations is one of the most significant moments of every Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. IOC Executive Board during its meeting in Lausanne decided to introduced a few more rules to it.

The main traditions remained untouched – Greece as the birthplace of the Olympics will be the one to open every Parade while the host of the Games will come out in the end. From the Tokyo 2020, however, it will be preceeded by the next host countries. Additionally, the Refugee Olympic Team will follow Greece, gaining more attention from the spectators.

As always, the order of the marching will be decided by the host country’s language.
