CHINADA To Resume Testing Of Elite Athletes

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirmed that the ChineseAnti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) will resume testing this week following a temporary suspension, initiated on 3 February, of its testing program on mainland China due to the coronavirus, also known as Covid-19.

WADA claims to have been monitoring the situation in China very carefully. They also claim to have been in constant contact with CHINADA, who will begin testing athletes again this week. CHINADA will begin be testing elite athletes in high-risk sports.

Safety of both athletes and testing personnel will be of the outmost importance. CHINADA has ratified new testing guidelines with the goal of preventing infection.

CHINADA has also kept up with athlete whereabouts, and testing of athletes based in foreign countries.
