Nikita Nagornyy took the gold and Artur Dalaloyan took the silver medal in the men’s individual all-around final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Stuttgart. The podium was completed by Oleh Verniaiev from Ukraine.

On the contrary to the women’s competition, the men’s all-around medalists didn’t top in most of the apparatus as Nagornyy was the best in rings and vault while being second in the floor exercise, won by Dalaloyan. However, Nagornyy was in top five in all of the remaining apparatus, that lead him to the all-around gold, ahead of his teammate and friend.

“The relationship is very, very good, because we are good friends, our families are good friends, and we train in the same gym, in the same situation and the same team. We won the gold medal, and all is very good with Nikita” – said Dalaloyan after the competition.

Saturday and Sunday are the finals for the apparatus finals. In men’s competition they will decide the remaining Tokyo 2020 quotas.
